Sheikhupura
At least 13 persons lost their lives and more than 15 persons including women and children sustained serious wounded in a horrible collision between a passenger bus and van due to heavy fog in Sheikhupura on Monday.
Receiving information about the mishap, the security personnel and rescue teams arrived at the scene and shifted the victims to nearby hospital. Rescue officials told media that both vehicles caught fire after the collision took place near Narang Mandi Meran stop. The gas cylinder installed in the van also exploded after the crash.
They added that many among injured persons are in critical condition. The deceased persons are being said to belong the same family who were returning to Narowal from Lahore after attending a wedding ceremony.—INP
