KARACHI –  Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine into Pakistan at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport and arrested a foreign smuggler, a Brazilian woman.

According to ANF officials, during passenger clearance of a private airline flight arriving from Brazil, a Brazilian female passenger was found suspicious.

Upon inspection, 1.396 kilograms of cocaine, valued at over Rs13.9 million, was discovered concealed in liquid form inside plastic bags hidden in her undergarments.

The ANF officials confirmed that a case has been registered against the suspect under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and further investigation is underway.

The use of innovative and sophisticated methods for drug smuggling remains a major challenge for the ANF.

However, the agency remained committed to combating the drug trafficking.
