ISLAMABAD – Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) has formally increased the amount of quarterly installment for the Benazir Kafaalat beneficiaries from Rs10,500 to Rs13,500, with effect from January 2025.
BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid made this announcement in this regard, saying the government aimed at providing maximum relief to deserving people in the country.
Senator Rubina Khalid affirmed that in 2025, the government will continue to serve underprivileged communities through platforms such as BISP, with honesty, passion, and determination.
BISP, a widely hailed initiative, is currently providing cash assistance to around nine million families across Pakistan, including Punjab, under Benazir Kafaalat initiative.
BISP Kafaalat Cash Assistance
The Kafaalat initiative, which was launched in 2008, has emerged as the largest single cash transfer programme in Pakistan’s history. It has both short and long-term objectives.
The short term objective of the initiative is to protect marginalised people from negative effects of higher inflation, food crisis and poor economic growth.
BISP Installment Collection Through ATMs
Previously, the BISP cash assistance was provided to the eligible citizens through the Habib Bank Limited (HBL). In a latest development, the government has expanded list of banks so citizens can withdraw the amount without waiting for hours.
BISP Beneficiaries can withdraw the BISP Rs13,500 installment from ATMs of the following banks.
Bank Al Falah
Bank of Punjab
Telenor Microfinance Bank
Habib Bank Limited
HBL Microfinance
BISP Payment Collection via Jazzcash
The BISP beneficiaries can also visit the jazzcash agents in there respective areas to collect the new installment of Rs13,500.
