KARACHI – Pakistanis are jolted with massive increase as the price of LPG, a commonly used cooking gas, has been raised by a staggering Rs50 per kg in June 2024.
LPG Distributors Association Chairman announced a substantial increase in the price of LPG, but despite the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) setting the official price at Rs234.60 per kg, the market price has surged to Rs280-285 per kg.
After a fresh increase, the cost of domestic LPG cylinder has increased by Rs600, now priced at Rs3,370. Commercial cylinders are now selling at over Rs12,435 in Pakistan.

OGRA officials accused LPG marketing companies of disregarding government-set prices and selling LPG at inflated rates. Last month, the price of LPG was slashed Rs3.87 to Rs234 per kg.
