LAHORE – A sigh of relief for students schools going students as the government announced an increase in Benazir educational stipends (Benazir Taleemi Wazaif).
The new stipend amount will take effect from January 2025 as the initiative is expected to benefit over six million students across the country. The stipends will be distributed to mothers of school-going children from nursery to grade twelve, with parents required to register with the Benazir Income Support Program to qualify for these financial benefits.

Families in Benazir Income Support Programme BISP program can apply for educational scholarships for their children, receiving quarterly installments and additional amounts for education of children.
The registration process is now easier with BISP Resource Education App and to be eligible for the sipend, parents must ensure their mother’s ID card number is correct on their children’s B-Forms to avoid issues with payments. Those who change schools should get a new endowment slip to continue receiving support.
