The prestigious PILNET 2024 Global Awards ceremony took place, bringing together pro bono practitioners, academics, and representatives from renowned legal organizations, including White & Case, A&O Sherman, Trust Law Thomson Reuters, and Dentons. Sindh Law Secretary, Ali Ahmed Baloch, was among the distinguished attendees.

In his remarks, he praised PILNET for organizing the event and reaffirmed the Sindh government’s full support for such initiatives. The highlight of the evening was the recognition of Barrister Haya Iman Zahid, Chief Executive Officer of the Legal Aid Society.

She received the globally acclaimed Pro Bono Publico Award for her exceptional contributions to fostering public-private partnerships, providing legal assistance to prisoners, and championing legal empowerment programs. The ceremony celebrated the commitment of legal professionals who dedicate their expertise to public service, with Barrister Zahid’s achievements standing out as a beacon of inspiration.
