LAHORE – Pakistan Fast Bowler Shaheen Afridi would represent Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Fortune Barishal, the defending champions of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), officially announced the fast bowler’s availability on Thursday.

The Bangladesh Premier League is set to commence on December 30, featuring seven teams. The tournament, which will run for over a month, will showcase star players in action.

The opening match and the final would be played in Dhaka while group-stage matches would also be held in Mirpur and Sylhet.

It may be mentioned here that Pakistan cricket team Fast Bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi took 100 wickets in T20 internationals. He achieved this milestone recently during the first match of the three-match T20 series against South Africa in Durban.

Shaheen Afridi is the third Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in men’s T20 internationals. Additionally, he holds the distinction of being the first Pakistani to take 100 wickets in all three formats of international cricket.
