No Mask, No Service

The federal capital’s classy Tehzeeb Bakery living up to its name has once again won praise not only by its customers but by general public on social media also for strictly maintaining the principle of social distancing and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with regard to prevention of coronavirus.
At its main entrance, the bakery administration has got it inscribed “No Mask, No Service” making it loud and clear that only masked customers are allowed inside.
For those whose orders like pizza might take some time, a separate counter is set up where the customers are required to wait till their order is served. “For maintaining safe and social distance, such customers are not allowed inside the bakery,” said one of the staffers. Not only masks and social distancing are mandatory, hand sanitizers are also there at the main entrance and the customers are required to clean their hands with them. Children below 8 are also prohibited inside the bakery and only one member of a family is allowed inside, the staff member further said.
We are following this practice not only in G-9 Markaz but also at the bakery’s other outlets in Blue Area (main branch), G-11 Markaz, F-11 Markaz and Saddar Rawalpindi, said the staffer. In the beginning, customers expressed their annoyance at being intercepted by the staff for not wearing masks or bringing kids along but later they realized it was for the common good and now those without masks either wait outside or go to some medical stores and buy a mask and then come to the bakery, said the proprietor of the bakery.
