Punjab Advocate General Ahmad Awais on Monday decided to tender his resignation to the new Governor of the Province.
According to the report, Ahmad Awais said he would resign as soon as the Governor of Punjab took the oath of his post. The Advocate General said that his resignation has to be approved by the Punjab Governor as per rules so he will tender the resignation after taking his oath. He said only the Punjab Governor has the authority an appointment of a new Advocate General or remove any Advocate General.
Ahmad Awais said as long as the Governor’s support was available; he served as Advocate General Punjab.
