MELBOURNE – Indian intelligence agents continue to bring bad name for country and in latest development, spies from Asian nation were kicked out of Australia after being caught in an act while trying to access sensitive information.
Australian media reported that Indian spies attempted to steal secrets about sensitive defense projects and airport security, other than top secrets about Canberra’s trade ties.
It said the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation foiled the foreign nest of spies couple of years back.
The exact number of spies remains unknown as no member of Australian government commented on the matter.
Amid these reports, Indian officials have yet to share any numbers. Australian security officials accused these spies of monitoring Indians in Australia and building relationships with politicians.
The recent news followed a report by US media that accused Indian RAW official of planning to assassinate Sikh extremist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun.
Last year, Qatar expelled 75 Indian Navy nationals and citizens for Israel spying in Middle East nation.
