The Attock district witnessed another surge in novel coronavirus COVID-19 positive cases as five more persons tested positive touched the highest tally of 675 patients. It was officially said on Saturday. According to the report issued by the local health department, it is second highest tally of the patients during the second spell of the virus in the district. Talking to newsmen, District Attock focal person for Covid-19, Dr Saeed Akhter has said that these among these five new cases, three belongs to Attock city while two others belongs to Hazro.
He said that there are 25 active patients across the district and all are under home isolation. Responding to another question, Mr Niazi said that the number of suspected cases in the district are 17719 while screening of as many as 21161 persons have also been carried out so far. He said that the result of as many as 1506 suspected patients of the area are still awaited while as many as 15538 is tested negative so far. He said that so far 629 positive patients have recovered in the district.
