Security forces kill another 13 terrorists in Naushki, Pangur clearance operations, says ISPR
RAWALPINDI – An initial investigation into terrorist attacks in Nauski and Panjgur districts of Balochistan revealed that militants were in touch with their handlers in India and Afghanistan.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that the intelligence agencies have intercepted communication between terrorists and their handlers.
Meanwhile, security forces killed 13 terrorists during clearance operations conducted in Nauski and Panjgur, the military’s media wing said.
“After successfully repulsing terrorist attacks at Panjgur and Naushki, security forces carried out clearance operation to hunt down terrorists hiding in the area,” read the statement.
In Naushki, security forces encountered and killed 5 more terrorists, taking the tally to 9 as four were killed on Wednesday evening during an exchange of fire.
Four brave soldiers, including an officer, embraced martyrdom while repulsing this attack, ISPR said.
At Panjgur, the security forces operation is continuing to eliminate fleeing terrorists. Four militants have so far been killed while at least 4/5 are encircled in the area.
During intense fighting, three soldiers were martyred and four others sustained injuries.
