The Anti-Terrorism Court, Lahore, granted interim bail to former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi till May 11 and prevented his arrest.
Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Ijaz Ahmed Butar heard Elahi’s bail application in the case of throwing a petrol bomb at the police and interfering with the government. Parvez Elahi took the stance that Ghalib Market police baselessly accused him of attacking the police party.
He said that he was also alleged of throwing petrol bombs on the police party in the case, the police registered a false case to target political revenge, he claimed. Pervez Elahi requested that the bail be approved before the final decision of the trial.
Later, the court granted interim bail to Chaudhry Parvez Elahi till May 11. It should be noted that a case has been registered against Central President PTI Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and others at Ghalib Market police station. He said that Khawaja Asif was playing with the constitution. He said that Khawaja Asif abuses every day, they are playing with the constitution.
Speaking to the media outside the Anti-Terrorism Court of Lahore, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi said that from the first day we did not take the path of terror, but the peaceful path, we went to the judiciary and then they started negotiations. He said that the entire Sharif family is evil, they have not done anything, and they are experts in making false cases against people, we know them and their family too, they have a habit of making promises and never fulfilling them.
The former chief minister said that the cases will go hand in hand, we are fully fighting, we have no fear, we have not learned to back down.
