Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf General Secretary Asad Umar on Wednesday categorically has ruled out the rumors that he has taken back his words about the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) rather he still stands with his stance in this regard.

During a press conference, while talking to the media in Lahore, Umar said that there was fake news on air about him as he had rendered his apology before the Election Commission, which is absolutely baseless.

He said he had advised his lawyers to take back his reply from ECP.

PTI leader said that the Election Commission has not been working as a neutral constitutional body rather it has become a political party. ECP has distorted the facts and violated the law which is a clear attempt to deviate from the Constitution.

The deviation of the constitution is being committed because they can face Imran Khan politically.

He further said that the government tried to make attempt to impose heavy taxes on the people of Pakistan through Presidential ordinances but the President rejected the imposition of tax enforcement through ordinances.

The former federal minister said that the worst inflation has been causing the closure of businesses and as a result, millions have become unemployed. The foreign exchange reserves have reached the lowest level. He raised a question if the government was inlined with IMF already, then what was the purpose of the negotiations?

He alleged that the government has brought political crises in Pakistan.

Ishaq Dar negotiated with IMF and he was responsible to explain IMF about Pakistan’s economic situation but the result turned out against Pakistan.

He told that during the PTI government, the inflation was in single digits but today inflation has reached 34%.
