Army Chief Asim Munir all praise for National Aerospace Science and Technology Park

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir attended the inauguration ceremony of the second chapter of National Aerospace Science and Technology Park (NASTP).

A statement issued by the army’s media wing said COAS praised the project and hoped it would yield manifold benefits for Pakistan. Gen Asim said NASTP would spur technological progress and foster self-reliance by offering a platform for the nation’s youth and future generations.

The top general attended the event as chief guest at the occasion, and praised efforts of Pakistan Air Force, its leadership, and its skilled personnel in the achievement of yet another milestone of NASTP Silicon.

Pakistan Air Chief Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also shared his the vision for NASTP, saying the project become one of the best aerospace, cyber & IT clusters and transform the national landscape with design, R&D and innovation centres for emerging and disruptive technologies to accrue maximum social, economic, security and scientific dividends for the nation.

At his arrival, Gen Asim was welcomed by chief of the air staff.

Later in the day, Army Chief also visited Corps Headquarters Karachi where Corps Commander Karachi Corps welcomed COAs and briefed him about operational preparedness, training matters and administrative measures being taken for the welfare of the troops and martyred families.
