The government has immediately made Director Anti-Corruption Zohaib Mushtaq OSD.
According to detailsZohaib has been made OSD for allegedly hitting a car driver while intoxicated. Police are investigating the accident. Director Anti-Corruption was arrested and later released. Regarding the incident, Director Anti-Corruption Zohaib Mushtaq said that he must have gone to the police station but the news of his arrest was baseless.
It may be mentioned that mega corruption scandal was also encountered in Gujrat city of Punjab in the last few days. Additional Deputy Commissioner Gujrat Rani Hafsa Kanwal, Assistant Director Mines Gujrat Usman Ahmed and Divisional Forest Officer Emad Ahmed Lo were named as accused in the case. In addition, the anti-corruption court had sought permission from the Secretary and Director of Minerals to conduct an investigation.
According to media reports, two Gujarat companies, Malhi Stone Works and NW Enterprise, have been awarded contracts worth crores of rupees. Nadeem Akhtar Malhi and his nephew Hamza Malhi are the owners of the companies. The fabrication of making Zohaib Mushtaq Regional Director of OSD is similar to the same case.
An investigation is underway into the facts, while Zohaib Mushtaq has been removed from the post of Director Anti-Corruption and immediately made OSD.
