Declaring that Awami National Party is no longer part of the PDM, the party leadership Monday demanded early holding of the general elections in the country and warned of any delay in the polls saying it is not among those who are running away from the elections. The party has also demanded early removal of the Governor KP Haji Ghulam Ali.

“Date for elections should be announced at the earliest; we strongly support timely elections; we do not want any delay.” The ANP provincial president Aimal Wali Khan declared during a press conference in Peshawar on Monday.

He said we are prepared for the elections; our preparations are in place, and we are not running away from elections. He demanded of the governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali to step down. He said, “PDM was a movement, and it has ended now; the ANP is no longer a part of the PDM,” clarified Amal Wali Khan.
