US Special Representative for Commercial and Business Affairs Dilawar Syed has expressed Washington’s eagerness to “strengthen US-Pakistan economic partnership”, said a statement on Wednesday.
In a meeting with Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Masood Khan, the special representative added that there is a huge potential for partnership and that Pakistan and the United States’ “enterance in Silicon Valley will play a key role in growing bilateral commercial ties”.
Ambassador Masood expressed his gratitude to the US government for building confidence in investment opportunities in Pakistan.
He also congratulated Dilawar for his appointment “in which he would help transform the global economic agenda” around new technologies and the tech sector. “We applaud your leadership,” he said.—AFP
