AJK PM vows to ensure good governance

Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar Ul Haq has vowed to ensure good governance in the state. In an interview, he said federal government has released about 11.5 billion rupees for Azad Kashmir. In reply to a question, he said tourism would be promoted in the region through public-private partnerships.

AJK Prime Minister said our principled position on the Kashmir issue is that relations between Pakistan and India cannot improve until India’s reverse its on August 5, 2019 decision. Despite facing various challenges, Prime Minister Haq announced efforts to reduce electricity bills and provide affordable flour to the citizens.

He shared these intentions during a meeting with a delegation led by Syed Sabir Hussain Shah, President of the Mirpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Also present at the meeting were Principal Secretary Fayyaz Ali Abbasi and representatives of Anjuman Tajran.—APP
