KABUL – Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Zhao Xing held a meeting Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing Hamdullah Nomani.
“We exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the fields of urban construction, human resource training,” the ambassador said in a social media post.
Nomani promised that Afghan side will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of the project and Chinese personnel in Afghanistan.
Last year, China became the first country to name a new ambassador to Afghanistan since the Taliban retook power in 2021.
The Taliban had welcomed the appointment, stating that Zhao Xing’s appointment is a sign for other nations to establish ties with its government.
