Administrator Karachi Laiq Ahmed has said that the area of Sharah-e-Faisal and Airport is important in terms of international passenger transport, to keep this most important highway free from all kinds of clutter, clean and bright.
Steps are being taken to repair sidewalks on both sides of the road, correct street lights and plant seasonal flowers in green belts, try to do more in less time to improve the city’s basic infrastructure. He said this while visiting Sharah-e- Faisal, Drug Road, Natha Khan Bridge, Airport and adjoining areas. Director General Works Shabiha Al Hassan Zaidi, Director General Parks Taha Saleem and other officers also spoke on the occasion.
The Administrator directed that in order to illuminate all the street lights on Sharah-e-Faisal, the work of accuracy of street lights should be expedited.
All kinds of banners, steamers, flags and Other advertising materials should be removed and trees should be pruned, seasonal flowers, marigolds and petunias should be planted on green belts.
In order to make the space between and around the roads beautiful and colorful, he said that people from different parts of the world are coming to Karachi to participate in the international level program to be held in Karachi from February 5.
