Abbottabad police on the directive of DPO Abbottabad Sajjad Khan has arrested accused on charges of aerial firing where prep class students was killed in a marriage ceremony including two accomplices arrested, 03 pistols recovered from the accused, the bridegroom and his father have also been arrested in the same case.
According to the details, Hasher Javed, a student of Prep class was killed during the aerial firing at the wedding of son of Afsar Khan in Kagian area of Nara Police Station on June 12, 2022. A case was registered under Section 322 in Nara Police Station While DPO Abbottabad took notice of the death of Hasher of Prep class in the incident Sajjad Khan issued orders to the local police to ensure immediate arrest of the accused.
Acting on this, Nara police arrested the accused Habib son of Muhammad Rafiq, resident of Hari Khetar involved in the incident along with a murder weapon, pistol and 30 bore. The other two accused involved in the firing, Naseer son of Saleem and Bilal son of Shahzaman were arrested with two pistols thirty bore and cartridges. Residents of the area have paid rich tributes to DPO Abbottabad Sajjad Khan for taking notice of the incident and ensuring arrest of the accused involved.
DPO Abbottabad has taken stern action against the aerial firing on weddings and in number of cases has either arrested the accused or the family members of the wedding families.
