A-Level Maths Paper Leak in Pakistan prompts Cambridge Investigation

KARACHI – Cambridge International Education (CIE) has started a probe after A-level Maths paper was allegedly leaked online before the examination.

Posts shared on social platforms claimed that Maths paper (9709/12) surfaced online, a little before students appeared for the exam. Candidates lamented the leak, calling it an unfortunate incident as students studies hard and gave their time and effort and were expecting top results.

Amid the uproar, Cambridge International Education (CIE) announced starting an inquiry about a possible leak of the AS Level Mathematics 9709 Paper 12 exam that held on May 2, 2024 Thursday.

A post shared by CIE confirmed that an investigation was started, and Cambridge and the British Council are in touch to find real facts. It mentioned to update on the matter when having detailed information.

Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) has underscored its dedication to upholding the integrity and fairness of its exams and is collaborating closely with the British Council, which administers CIE exams globally.

The recent alleged A-Level paper leak in Pakistan has caused considerable anxiety among students who sat for the exam, with many expressing concerns on social media about how it might affect their grades and future academic opportunities.

In response, CIE has assured students, schools, and parents that they are treating the matter seriously and are working closely with the British Council to investigate the leak’s extent and potential repercussions.
