Chief Executive IESCO Muhammad Naeem Jan chaired the monthly performance review meeting of Islamabad Circle and Rawalpindi City Circle. General Manager Operations Muhammad Aslam Khan and Chief Engineer Customer Services Ghulam Sarwar briefed on IESCO’s performance.
IESCO Chief said that based on good results, IESCO has a distinguished position in Pakistan’s power sector, but there is still room for improvement in the results. He issued instructions to the field officers that thorough monitoring is needed to control electricity theft and the use of ABC cables should be ensured in the feeders and areas where electricity theft has been reported.
The process of installing modern and advanced AMI meters with modern technology is underway in Rawalpindi City and Rawalpindi Cantt circles which will definitely help in controlling electricity theft, timely collection of electricity bills, excellent customer services and stable distribution system.
He stressed on timely installation of new electricity connections, transformer load balancing, 100 percent and timely meter reading, timely replacement of faulty meters etc.
He issued orders for regular monitoring of guest houses, industrial and commercial meters across the region and said that quality results can be achieved in less time by taking advantage of modern technology like E-Office and ERP system. The officers who are not performing well are a burden on IESCO which the institution will not tolerate at all now.
