Rain likely in Karachi, parts of Sindh

KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted partly cloudy weather and light rain for Karachi and parts of Sindh on Monday and Tuesday.

As per the synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave is approaching western parts of Pakistan. It will likely move upper parts during the next 24 hours.

Under these conditions, cold and partly cloudy weather is likely in most parts of Sindh on Sunday evening/night and the next two days.

However, rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Jamshoro, Karachi and adjoining areas during the next two days.

Karachi’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 15-17 degrees Celsius on Monday and 16-18 C on Tuesday.

Hyderabad’s minimum temperature will likely remain between 12-14 C on Monday and Tuesday.

Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed over most of the province during the last 24 hours.

Mithi remained the coldest place in the province where the temperature dropped to 05 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 64 per cent.

In Karachi, minimum temperature was recorded at 16 C. Relative humidity during the morning was 49 per cent.

In Hyderabad, minimum temperature was recorded at 12 C. Relative humidity during the morning was 56 per cent.
