Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf is going to file a plea against the delay in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa elections in the Supreme Court today, the party leadership announced Tuesday.
Earlier in the day the Supreme Court of Pakistan declared the Election Commission of Pakistan order postponing the provincial assembly elections until October 8 as “unconstitutional” and ordered the government to release Rs21 billion funds for elections in Punjab by April 10.
However, with regard to holding polls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the SC three-member bench had said the issue would remain under debate as during the course of the hearing nobody represented the provincial governor.
