Pakistani rupee snapped its losing streak against the US dollar in the inter-bank market after five sessions on Monday and recovered 44 paisas (+o.25 percent).
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the US dollar opened at Rs175.73 and closed at Rs175.29. Within the open market, the rupee was traded at 175/176 per dollar.Earlier in the last session, the rupee hit an all time low of Rs175.73 against the greenback.
Earlier, the Pakistani rupee made an all-time low of 175.27 against the greenback on October 26 last.
Overall, the rupee depreciated by Rs5.72 during the last week, while the rupee’s depreciation during the fiscal year 2021-22 has been Rs17.87 and Rs15.12 in the current year 2021.—TLTP
