An earthquake of high intensity jolted different areas of Swat and surroundings on Thursday but no causalities of property damages were reported.
According to details, tremours measuring 5.3 on Richter scale were felt in district Swat of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and its surrounding areas.
The people of areas where the quake was felt rushed out of homes, shops and offices in panic reciting verses from Holy Quran and Kalma e Tayyeba. However, no property damages of causalities were reported from anywhere.
The epi-centre of quake was stated to be border area of Pak-Afghanistan-Tajikistan at the depth of 168 kilometer.
