Lahore Arts Council (LAC) on Saturday paid tributes to the services of Farooq Qaiser, who was the guest speaker in the current episode of ‘Kuch Yaadain kuch Batain’. Chairperson board of governor LAC, Moneeza Hashmi said that Qaiser introduced new dimensions in his field, he worked hard to make the society beautiful, the youth should learn from his work.
In conversation with renowned author and intellectual Farooq Qaiser, the host of the program, Sumera Khalil raised different interesting questions which were much appreciated by the audience.
During the session, Farooq Qaiser said that I am doing my best to promote my art to the youth as my teachers have taught me, I strive to make the younger generation aware of the vastness of this art. Qaiser further said that whatever I am today, I am grateful to the Hashmi family. I have learned a lot from Shoaib Hashmi. Qaiser said that Moneeza Hashmi asked me to write poems on the subject of the environment, which is not becoming very famous but became an asset of my life.
Qaiser referring to TV, said that I got immense fame, as I was fond of writing since childhood; people also liked the role I played.
Talking to the audience on Alhamra’s live show on Facebook, the cartoonist Farooq Qaiser added that it is a true fortune to meet a good teacher in life.
