The Population Welfare Department Punjab (PWDP) has setup 9 state of the art family planning centers for ensuring free of cost better mother and child healthcare and other facilities. Member National assembly Choudhary Shoukat Ali Bhatti has inaugurated the first ever centre at Hafizabad, on Monday. ADCG Hamid Nasir Goraya, DO Population Welfare Muhammad Atif Ali, Population Welfare Officer Sajjida Mushtaq, Sheikh Kashif Sobba, Abdul Jabbar Raza Ansari, other officers and civil society attended the function.
Addressing on this occasion, MNA said that Present government of PTI led by the Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister of the Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar were focusing on provision of the best healthcare and other amenities of life to the people at their doorsteps whereas establishment of this centre was a chain of government measures taken for the welfare of the masses.
He said that distribution of Insaf Health Cards was a people friendly step of the present government and people could get treatment facilities from hospitals of their own choice. He said that the Punjab government had accorded approval to established state of the art 400 beds district headquarter hospital at Hafizabad with the estimated cost of more than Rs.6 billion for provision of modern treatment facilities to the people at local level.
