Prize bonds are considered a popular form of investment and savings in Pakistan, offering individuals the chance to win cash prizes through periodic draws.
Issued by the Government of Pakistan and managed by the Central Directorate of National Savings (CDNS), prize bonds are considered a secure, risk-free investment since they are backed by the state.
They are available in various denominations ranging from Rs. 100 to Rs. 40,000 and can be purchased from designated banks and savings centers.
Prize bonds are also bearer instruments, meaning they can be transferred easily without registration. However, the government has recently introduced measures to curb misuse and increase transparency.
