LAHORE – More Pakistanis can be able to apply for Hajj 2025 as the Ministry of Religious Affairs opens new applications under the government scheme.
The deadline to apply for Hajj 2025 was in mid December, last year but now there are reports of additional 5,000 pilgrims under government scheme.
It was revealed that National Assembly Standing Committee on Religious Affairs chaired MNA Aamir Dogar. The committee discussed several preparations for upcoming Hajj season, including ensuring the quality of food and stay for Hajj pilgrims.
During the upcoming session, officials discussed training for individuals preparing to undertake Hajj pilgrimage. The pilgrims will get awareness and training at Hajj camps across the country.
Under Hajj Policy for 2025, Pakistan rolled out instalment payment plan for pilgrims. The Hajj quota will be split equally between government and private schemes, with additional seats for the government’s sponsorship program.
Costs for government scheme Hajj is Rs1,075,000 to Rs1,175,000, plus Rs55,000 for sacrificial offerings. Additional fees will apply for those looking for upgraded accommodations during stay. Refunds are allowed before the final submission date, but deductions apply after balloting.
