In a concerted effort to uphold the vision of Chief Minister Punjab and IG Punjab, Attock Police, under the guidance of District Police Officer Dr. Sardar Ghiyas Gul Khan, has intensified its crackdown on illicit drug activities in the region. In a recent series of operations, significant progress has been made against the nefarious drug trade, with multiple suspects apprehended and substantial quantities of narcotics seized.
In a coordinated effort, law enforcement authorities arrested five suspects allegedly involved in drug trafficking. The seized contraband included approximately 5 kilograms of hashish, 550 grams of heroin, 120 grams of ice, and 10 liters of alcohol. Separate cases have been registered against the suspects under the Narcotics Act, signaling a firm stance against such criminal activities.
Notable among the operations was the interception of a drug smuggling attempt by Asad Ali, son of Lal Jan, at Fateh Jang police station. Asad Ali was found in possession of 1300 grams of hashish, thwarting his illicit activities.
The crackdown extended to other areas within the jurisdiction, as the police team of Sadar Hasan Abdal police station seized 600 grams of hashish from Waqas Ali, son of Muhammad Yasin.
