3 burnt to death, 8 injured as van falls in to ditch in Attock

Three passengers burnt to death while eight other passengers including a woman on board a van received burn injuries as a van fell in to ditch and catches fire on Jambat road in limits of Jand Police station of the Attock district.

The ill fated van which was carrying passengers from Rawalpindi to Kalabagh when reached near OGDCL plant Jambat, the driver loses control due to over speeding while taking a sharp turn resultantly it fell in to roadside ditch and catches fire. Later local rushed to spot and extinguish the fire and retrieved the injured and shift

he injured to the tehsil headquarters hospital Jand.

Aamir Nawaz, Spokesman of the district emergency services rescue 1122 told that rescue officials retrieved three charred bodies from the passenger van and shifted to local hospital.

The hospital sources said that one body brought to hospital was beyond recognition while two others were identified as Ajab Sher while other was identified as Ajab Awal Khan.
