2,050 more Corona cases, 33 deaths Balochistan sees rise in virus cases up by 6.2 pc

According to the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC), around 2,050 cases of Coronavirus were reported while 33 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 7,193.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 361,081. As many as 324,834 patients have recovered from the disease while more than 1,447 reported to be in critical condition.
In Punjab, after sharp increase in the cases, the number of patients swelled to 111,047 in the province. The province reported 2,492 coronavirus causalities. In Sindh, the cases of infection have surged to 156, 528 in the province, the most affected region in Pakistan. The death toll has reached to 2,751 in the province.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the confirmed cases have surged to 42,615 in the province while the death toll has surged to 1,315 in KPK. There are 16,449 confirmed cases while 156 patients died of the infection so far in Balochistan.
In AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, there are 5,538 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 126. On the other hand, there are 4,461 cases in GB with 93 coronavirus deaths.
A total 33 corona patients, 30 of whom were under treatment died in hospital while three died out of hospital on Monday, according to the latest update issued by the National command and Operation Centre.
Meanwhile, Balochistan has recorded an increase in novel coronavirus cases up to 6.2 per cent from 1.1 per cent as compared to the previous month. The provincial health department confirmed that the positivity rate of Covid-19 hiked from 1.1 pc to 6.2 pc in the province as five deaths were reported so far in the current month.
As many as 854 infections were reported in educational institutions so far with the rate of 5.2 per cent. Earlier, Balochistan government had decided closure of educational institutions from December 1 and three-month closure in cold areas of the province.
