At least two people were killed in armed clash over love marriage dispute in tehsil Renala Khurd of district Okara on Saturday, police said. According to details, a man entered in love marriage with a girl but family of the girl took her back to home and asked for organizing the wedding ceremony.
When groom along with baraat reached the house of in-law to take his wife, an exchange of hot words took place which led to fire exchange. In cross firing two relatives of the groom were killed. The culprits belonging to both groups involved in fire exchange escaped the scene of crime.
The bodies were shifted to hospital for postmortem and police after registering a case against members of the two clashing groups started raids for their arrests.
