Punjab Senior Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) governments in Centre and Punjab has reignited hope among the populace and steered the country back on the path of prosperity in its first 100 days. She emphasized that Punjab’s groundbreaking initiatives within the first 100 days, such as the introduction of e-mass transit buses and e-bike systems for youths, set a precedent for sustainable urban development.
It is, indeed, a remarkable feat that the Punjab government launched 42 public interest projects in its first 100 days making a deep impact on the daily life of the people. For the first time in about five years, there are downward inflationary trends as prices of wheat flour, bread, ghee and other good items have dropped significantly due to prudent policies of the Government. At the same time, Rs. 10 billion Kissan Card has been launched aimed at bolstering agriculture and supporting farmers, providing them with modern machinery at subsidized rates. The senior minister rightly pointed out that under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, every sector, from industry to IT, governance to infrastructure, has been rejuvenated, instilling newfound confidence and credibility. Proper monitoring of measures like solid waste management programme, clean and green Punjab, ban on use of plastic, Nawz Sharif IT city, clinic on wheels, ‘Knock of Maryam Nawaz’, ‘Apna Ghar Apni Chhat’, and initiatives in areas of health, education and infrastructure would surely transform the socio-economic landscape of the province.
