Zahid hails Pak Army role in enforcing SOPs

Chairman of National Business Group of FPCCI, President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum, and All Karachi Industrial Alliance, and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Wednesday lauded the role of the Army in enforcing SOPs to save precious lives.

In a statement issued here, he said that the government has taken a right decision to call Army to assist the civil administration which was under increased pressure due to a surge in the pandemic as over 200 deaths in 24 hours have been recorded for the first time.

Mian Zahid said that the seventy thousand people have been infected, ratio of positive cases has reached to 11 percent which is 30 percent higher as compared to the last year.

He said that the government should ensure availability of oxygen, vaccine, and masks, involve the private sector in manufacturing of vaccine and related machinery while trying to waive taxes to bring prices down.
