The first-ever Youth Excellence Awards, hosted by the award-winning non-profit Youth Impact, took place in Karachi, celebrating young social leaders, organizations, and initiatives driving positive change across Pakistan. The ceremony recognized individuals and groups at the forefront of social transformation, empowering youth, creating growth opportunities, and fostering innovation for a more inclusive nation.
Founded 13 years ago with a mission to develop purposeful and character-driven youth leaders, Youth Impact has touched over 128,000 lives globally through experiential learning, outdoor classrooms, and social action projects. The organization’s programs have had a lasting impact on youth, with esteemed institutions like the Higher Education Commission benefiting from its initiatives.
The Youth Excellence Awards 2024 spotlighted those who embody leadership and social responsibility in their communities. Dr. Abdul Bari Khan, Founder of Indus Hospital, served as the Patron-in-Chief for the awards ceremony. Honorees included organizations such as Al Khidmat, Indus Hospital, The Citizens Foundation, Special Olympics Pakistan, and Green Crescent Trust, recognized for their relentless efforts in healthcare, education, and community welfare.
Kiran Foundation, Generations School, NUST, IBA, and IoBM were acknowledged for their transformative role in education and leadership development. In the corporate sector, Toyota Indus Motors, Hubco, Agriauto, Multinet, FFC, and Careem were celebrated for their sustainable and innovative business practices.
The Orange Tree Foundation and Akhuwat were also lauded for their social and economic empowerment initiatives aimed at underserved communities. Collaborators for the awards included CSR Club, Scents & Stories, and Pakistan Human Capital Forum.
In addition to the awards, Youth Impact announced the launch of ‘Markaz,’ a world-class outdoor leadership center to be built in the lower Himalayas. This center will serve as a basecamp for the organization’s scalable youth development programs, furthering their mission to empower future generations of changemakers.
