A function was organized at the Women University Multan to pay homage to the martyrs of APS tragedy under the auspices of Director Student Affairs in which the chairpersons and students of all departments participated.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Uzma Quraishi said that seven years have passed since the incident of APS Peshawar but the wound is still deep and open in the heart of the entire nation which no one has forgotten.

The wound of this incident was very deep but the determination of the Pakistani nation is much higher. She said that 147 people were martyred in the terrorist attack including 122 students, 22 school staff members and three security personnel whose blood was shed.

This is the day to take oath that development of this country is not possible without acquiring knowledge.

The same message was conveyed by the students and teachers who sacrificed their lives for us to raise the flag of this country on all fronts and to prepare the world to rule through knowledge. Director Students Affairs, Dr. Adeela Saeed said that December 16 is the darkest day of history.
