An online international workshop was held on Thursday at Cholistan University of Veterinary and Animal Science, Bahawalpur. The program was presided by the Prof. Dr. Muhammad Sajjad Khan (VC, CUVAS).
The Keynote speaker of this webinar was Dr. Saif-ur-Rahman who is a renowned expert on animal breeding and genetics and currently working as scientific director in the “National Center for Livestock Breeding Genetics and Genomics”, Sub-center UAF, Faisalabad.
Dr Saif-ur-Rehman highlighted the importance of whole genomic sequencing of buffaloes and buffalo progeny testing program with an aim to enhance the production capabilities of buffaloes.
