LAHORE – Jamat-e-Islami Pakistan Emir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that whatever happened in Islamabad was being covered.

“Restricting access to information from hospitals will not be conceal the facts,” said the JI chief in a statement issued from Mansura on Friday.

Hafiz Naeem said by choking the constitution and democracy, the government turned the country into a spectacle. He condemned the oppressive actions of suppressing public rights and the abduction of journalists.

The JI chief also said that the government’s demonstration of fascism in Islamabad was essentially a message to the 250 million people, which Jamaat-e-Islami would never accept.

He stated that those who are oppressing the public could not stop the people’s movement.

Hafiz Naeem emphasized that the constitution gives every individual and political party the right to peacefully protest. He added that the true representatives of the people could only bring progress to the country.

The JI chief affirmed that Jamaat-e-Islami would continue its struggle for the rights of the people.
