A delegation of a private welfare organization working for the protection of homeless children met with IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar.

In the meeting establishment of an Orphanage “Tahaffuz Manzil” for the guardianship of homeless, orphan and abandoned children was discussed.

During the meeting, the establishment of an orphanage entitled Tahaffuz Manzil for the guardianship of homeless, orphaned and abandoned children living on the streets were discussed. The Delegation discussed the establishment of Tahafuz Manzil in Lahore with the collaboration of Punjab Police and private welfare organization. According to the details, women suffering from various social problems will be given jobs as foster mothers in the Police Tahaffuz Manzil. These volunteer foster mothers will provide orphans and homeless children with maternal love and a home environment. Facilities for education, food and training of orphan children will be arranged with the support of various organizations in Tahafuz Manzil. In the meeting, there was a detailed discussion about the administrative issues and aim & objectives and work scope of the Tahafuz Manzil. Senior officers including Additional IG Finance and Welfare Muhammad Riaz Nazir Gara, Additional IG Punjab Sultan Ahmad Chaudhry, DIG Operations Waqas Nazir, SSP Sahibzada Bilal Umar and AIG Admin Amara Athar also participated in the meeting.
