PESHAWAR – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted more rains for Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday evening/night and Friday.
According to the synoptic situation, a westerly wave prevails over upper parts of Pakistan.
It is likely to persist during next 24 hours.
Under these conditions, cloudy weather is expected in most districts of the province on Thursday evening/night and the next two days.
However, rain-thunderstorm with snowfall over the hill is likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Manshera, Abbottabad, Balakot, Mardan, Haripur and Peshawar on Thursday evening/night.
On Friday, rain is expected in Manshera, Abbottabad and Balakot.
Smog/fog is likely to persist in plain areas during morning hours.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature is likely to remain between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
Meanwhile, cold and dry weather prevailed in most district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours.
However, rain-thunderstorm occurred in upper parts of the province.

Malam Jabba remained the coldest place in the country where mercury dropped to 03 C.
In Peshawar, minimum temperature was recorded at 11 C.
