LAHORE – Monsoon rain-wind/thunderstorms are likely in Lahore and at isolated places in Punjab on Sunday night and Monday.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), weak monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate the upper/central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave affects the upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, monsoon rain/wind/thunderstorms are likely at isolated places in Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Wazirabad, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Narowal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Bahawalnagar and Rahim Yar Khan on Sunday night and Monday. Hot and humid weather is likely elsewhere in the province.
Lahore’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37-39°C on Monday and Tuesday.
Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Lahore and most districts in the province during the last 24 hours. However, isolated rains occurred in southern districts.

Attock remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 40°C. Maximum temperature in Sahiwal and Bahawalpur was recorded at 39°C.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 37°C. Relative humidity during the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.
