ISLAMABAD – More monsoon rains are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday with occasional gaps.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), monsoon currents from the Arabian Sea penetrate upper and central parts of Pakistan. A westerly wave prevails over upper parts of the country.
Under these weather conditions, more intermittent monsoon rains are predicted in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, upper Punjab, Potohar region, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and northeastern Balochistan on Tuesday night and Wednesday. Heavy falls may also occur at isolated places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Punjab and Potohar region during the period.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 31-33°C on Wednesday and Thursday.
Meanwhile, rains occurred in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan during the last 24 hours.

Nokkundi remained the hottest place in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 44°C. The maximum temperature in Dalbandin was recorded at 42°C, and Sibbi at 40°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 67 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 32°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 50 per cent.
