ISLAMABAD – Rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and parts of Pakistan on Monday evening/night and the following two days.
Per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), moist currents from Arabian Sea are penetrating upper parts of Pakistan and are likely to strengthen on Tuesday. A trough of shallow westerly wave will likely approach upper parts of the country on Tuesday.
Under these weather conditions, rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities and at isolated places in Kashmir, northeast/south Punjab, Potohar region, upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, lower Sindh and northeast/lower Balochistan on Monday evening/night.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, more rain-wind/thunderstorms are expected in the twin cities and at isolated places in Kashmir, Punjab, Potohar region and upper/lower Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. Hot and humid weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Islamabad’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 37-39°C on Tuesday and 38-40°C on Wednesday.
Rawalpindi’s maximum temperature will likely remain between 38-40°C on Tuesday and 37-39°C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred in northeast Punjab, Pothohar region, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, east Balochistan and south Sindh during the last 24 hours. Hot and humid weather prevailed elsewhere in the country.

Bhakkar, Nokkundi and Sibbi remained the hottest places in the country where the maximum temperature was recorded at 47°C. Maximum temperature in Turbat and Jacobabad was recorded at 46°C, and Dadu at 45°C.
In Islamabad, maximum temperature was recorded at 39°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 72 per cent.
In Rawalpindi, maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 65 per cent.
