Mystery behind Syrian fall
Jolani, from the Golan Heights, is leading a surprisingly smooth and bloodless revolution, contrasting with ISIS and Al-Qaeda, both of which were nurtured in Guantanamo to serve a Zionist agenda through violence in Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Middle East. While Mr. Jolani’s strategic planning may deserve recognition, one question remains: was this revolution simply aimed at replacing Bashar al-Assad and capturing Damascus, or was it part of a broader geopolitical maneuver to undermine Syria’s territorial integrity, guaranteed by international agreements?
It is possible the revolution was backed by the US and Israel to provoke a sectarian conflict between Shia and Sunni factions, drawing Iran and Russia into the fray. Alternatively, it could be a way to give Netanyahu a free hand to expand Israeli control over Syrian territory, becoming a regional power by blocking strategic access routes.
Turkey’s support for the revolutionaries, including training and supplying arms, ensures Kurdish-controlled Syrian territory remains a buffer zone between Turkey and Syria. Meanwhile, Israel continues violating agreements by launching military operations, while Iran and Russia’s support for Syria is deemed illegal under UN laws, yet Israel’s actions are largely ignored or justified.
The world’s socio-economic suffering is a direct consequence of superpower rivalries. The UN and OIC have failed to maintain peace and thus should be dissolved. Regional organizations like the EU, SCO and BRICS should take the lead in resolving conflicts and promoting global peace, resisting the role of the world policeman by these new, more localized forums.

A step towards peace in Gaza
The United Nations General Assembly has taken a much-needed step by passing a resolution for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire in Gaza. This decision was supported by 158 countries, showing the world’s desire for peace.
The resolution also calls for the release of all hostages, which is a vital step to reduce the suffering of innocent people. However, the situation remains alarming. Israeli airstrikes in Gaza continue, causing more loss of life, including the tragic deaths of 44,787 Palestinians. Hospitals in Gaza are running out of medicine and food, adding to the hardships faced by the people. Despite Israel’s refusal to stop the war, this resolution gives us hope.
It shows that most of the world stands with the people of Gaza and wants an end to their suffering. Such efforts remind us that dialogue and peace are the only ways to resolve conflicts and bring stability to the region. I hope this resolution becomes a turning point. The international community must now work harder to ensure its implementation and support the people of Gaza in these difficult times. Let us pray and hope for a day when peace will prevail and innocent lives will no longer be lost.

Traffic Police harassment
I frequently visit Karachi for job tests, book shopping and to explore Saddar and Light House. While the cost of essentials is affordable, the parking system remains a major issue. To make matters worse, traffic police often seize motorbikes and other vehicles for parking violations and impose penalties.
When people inquire for more information, the police misbehave and demand additional charges. They tend to stand in narrow streets where they can easily catch people.
When they stop someone, they ask for documents. Even if you have all the required papers, they find another way to extort money. I have personally witnessed this issue, as the police imposed penalty charges on me without any reasonable explanation.
Feeling helpless, I had no choice but to pay. In short, I urge the Sindh police and relevant authorities to take immediate action to address this issue and hold the officials involved accountable for their behaviour.

Keep the ocean clean
Cleaning the ocean is not only our responsibility but also our duty. With full commitment, we must protect and clean the ocean, as it is a vital source of prosperity for any country. The ocean plays a dynamic role in a nation’s development, particularly through the import and export business carried out by large cargo ships.
Everyone should avoid throwing plastic bags, nets and other waste into the ocean. It is a natural blessing for coastal communities, especially for marine life. We must protect it and not pollute it with plastic bags and microbeads that are harmful to the species living in it. Instead, people should engage in activities that help preserve the ocean, such as joining beach clean-ups to remove trash and debris from the coastline.
The ocean is crucial to our lives; it produces 50 to 85 percent of the world’s oxygen through phytoplankton and photosynthesis. Its seafood is also essential for human nutrition. Additionally, the ocean plays a major role in regulating the Earth’s atmosphere by storing and absorbing carbon dioxide.
Avoiding plastic bags is a crucial step toward safeguarding marine life. I urge the government of Pakistan to take urgent measures for cleaning the ocean and establishing policies that benefit marine life and the environment.
