Very hot, dry weather expected

Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country during next twelve hours. However, gusty winds/windstorm with isolated rain-thunderstorm is expected in northeast Punjab, Islamabad, Potohar region, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during evening/night.

Temperature of major cities recorded this morning. Islamabad twenty-three degree centigrade, Lahore thirty-two, Karachi thirty-one, Peshawar twenty-six, Quetta twenty-two, Gilgit and Murree nineteen and Muzafarabad twenty-four degree centigrade.

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, cloudy weather chances of rain windstorm and thunderstorm is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, Baramulla, while partly cloudy weather chances of rain-wind and thunderstorm in Jammu.

Srinagar eighteen degree centigrade, Jammu thirty, Leh nine, Pulwama and Anantnag seventeen, Shopian sixteen and Baramulla nineteen degree centigrade.

The local Met Office Wednesday predicted a dry to partly cloudy weather for the city for the next 24 hours.

The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded were 44 degrees centigrade and 32 degrees centigrade during the last 24 hours. Dry to partly cloudy weather has also been forecast for rest of the region.—INP
