Democracy according to the US standards, is inherently inclusive and liberal. Whereas in India it is just the opposite. It is exclusive and illiberal in its approach.
The example of how, not just the farmers, but Muslims, Dalits, Christians, Sikhs and other minorities are being treated in India speaks volumes about sheer violation of human rights by the Indian govt.
